I'm wondering if anyone else has this same problem. Every time I change my oil filter I have to loosen the exhaust pipe from the head in order to have enough room to remove the old filter. There just isn't enough room between them. As the old filter is unscrewed it comes in contact with the exhaust pipe but the threads are still firmly attached. I have to loosen the pipe to get the old filter off and the new filter on.

They redesigned that filter over a year ago and made it a little longer, I have the same issue with my P2008 912IS.

Even before the oil filter was updated it was a very tight fit. My guys usually just loosen the exhaust header nuts and rotate it up slightly to get the clearance. Not to difficult. Mark

Hey Glenn, what kind of avionics does your P2008 have? Any pictures of her? I'd love to fly in there to say hello and see it sometime!

I've never had this problem. Of course, I usually buy a lot of stuff at once, and the filters I'm using might be several years old. What filters are you guys using, Rotax? Maybe the Tempest filters are shorter.

Hi Drew, I won't bore anyone with pictures, LOL, 208GK looks just like all the other P2008 out there with the dual G3X Touch. You're welcome anytime...flying or driving. Let me know when you're coming!

Haha, well better yet I'd rather see it in person! Very nice setup. Are your G3X panels mounted directly next to each other or is there some spacing between them? Ok, will do! I'm think I'm going to take you up on it soon.

Are your G3X panels mounted directly next to each other or is there some spacing between them? There is a G3X screen directly in front of each seat. I wouldn't like the setup with both screens favoring the left seat. I sometimes instruct and I like having a screen on my side. I've read that the most recent deliveries have the right G3X screen moved to the center and a few other things relocated like the autopilot control panel. No matter which seat I'm in, I can easily reach the other side. My wife and my son-in-law wouldn't care where the right screen is. They have more than enough to do just working with the left screen.

Nice design. What is this thing wired to the exhaust pipe?

The picture doesnโt show all of it. Through testing I found out the ram air on the front two exhaust pipes lower the EGT readings almost fifty degrees. I made stainless baffles that bolt to the top exhaust nut and are safety wired at the bottom. I see if I have some pictures and post. Ed
