Although we tested the 915 in the Sierra no production aircraft are expected to be built at this time. Rotax is still saying the 915 requires a constant speed prop. We were told they were working on making it compatible with a fixed pitch but last I heard that was still a ways out. At this time Tecnam is saying not to expect the 915 in any LSA models unless rules change. Mark The SeaRey 915iS has an interesting way of handling the Constant Speed Prop issue - theirs has no user adjustment inside the cockpit, the pitch of the prop is computer controlled. It auto pitches for climb in takeoff RPM's and auto pitches for cruise when you throttle back. If the prop pitch is not a user controlled item there may be a path to FAA acceptance in an LSA at some point. Bottom line- regardless of timing, I'm glad to see Rotax is continuing to innovate. youtu.be/Q2oyGg4s3EU

Not a great picture, but here is my new carb bowl. Looks like it's the new style as well. Greg, it looks like you have an "new" old style fuel bowls. If you look closely at the photo of the new fuel bowl you will see a rounded thicker edge along the bottom and corners of the bowls.

Do folks recommend replacing the carb bowls in any 914-equipped aircraft at this point? My Astore is going in for annual now.... thanks! I have done a lot of research on the 914 issues. I found that most 914 bowl problems happens after the fuel bowls were removed for inspection or maintenance. I am not sure if improper installation is the cause of the problem or if the fuel bowls bend and twist due to heating and cooling and once the attachment bolt is remove the bowls warp. I know when I due my 100 hr service in June I will change to the new style bowls.

Thanks Jim for pointing that out. I flew yesterday, and they continue to work well. I am leaving well enough alone!
