Hey guys, I have a recurrent loose throttle problem with my 2012 Eaglet. Every time I am taxiing I have to hold the throttle constantly or the RPM's go up fron 2000 to 3000 and it is too fast to taxi. The throttle friction knob does not seem to control it well and is loose itself. Any modifications available that anyone knows of? My A&P is scratching his head and says it was not a well designed throttle mechanism in the first place. It just seems cheaply and poorly made compared to the vernier throttle I had on my Bonanza. Any ideas? Glen

Did you try turning the friction knob clockwise until it hit resistance?

Yes, and the throttle friction knob works, but seems to be loose as well as the throttle itself and they move move in and out at the same time. Once you tighten it, it loosens up very quickly on its own. I called the Tecnam mechanic in Sebring, but they are always swamped with work, and never seem to get around to returning my call. I can't find anything in the line maintenance manual concerning it.
