I am considering buying a P2008T and would plan to base it at Camarillo (KCMA), about halfway between LA and Santa Barbara. Do any of you have advice to offer regarding service on the Rotax 914 and the P2008 airframe reasonably nearby? I am aware of California Power Systems at Corona but it's rather far away. If I were AOG at Camarillo, whom would I call?
I would use this airplane to travel, mostly in the west, occasionally the midwest. How would I handle a grounded airplane in, for example, NB, KS, CO, NM, WY, ID, MT, UT or northern NV?
Apologies for the possibly dumb questions. I am a former Cessna 182 Katmai owner and of course any A&P anywhere knows Cessnas and their Continental engines so service availability is less of a concern.
