Quite difficult a bit to refuel over-wing tanks with portable 20L fuel tank.
Any cool technique for refueling for share?

If you are trying to avoid lifting 5 gallon jugs up onto a wing, then you can lift 2.5 gallon jugs, (takes longer); or get a pumping system like the Flo Fast, or a real fuel trailer/pump. Or buy a low wing.  |

Funny thing at Tecnam USA in Sebring the Rotax engine planes are all fueled with AVgas. I tried to go the Mogas route but gave up early in the game. I use Decalin as prescribed by Lockwood Aviation and Rotax when filling up with AVgas - easy peasy! You’ll have to do oil changes more frequently and long term maybe have to change out your gearbox a little earlier but you’ll gain freedom and no hassle fill ups. It’s at least an option. |
