I noticed today, while descending 500fpm at 120kias, that a strong breeze was coming at the top-front of the pilot-side door. After the flight, I walked around my P2008 and saw that the pilot-side door was sagging ... about 1/4-inch. That would explain the breeze. But now I have to figure out why the door is sagging. Could it be the door latch? Attached are pics of the passenger and pilot side door latches. The pilot side latch (bottom) is worn/cracked. Might that explain the 1-4-inch sag? Or would some other reason? Attachments:

Did you have the secondary latch at top of door in the closed position?

Are the hinge bolts loose?

Did you have the secondary latch at top of door in the closed position? Great question! I did not. I will make sure I do in the future ... and add it to my checklist.

Are the hinge bolts loose? I'll check that when I fly later this week. Also ... I've been corresponding with Mark Gregor, who (as always) is full of good advice. Mark is such a rich resource.

That latch makes a big difference. I was just doing my post annual engine run up last week and it was a cool day. I noticed a very cold breeze coming in. Since I was just on the ground testing the engine, I hadn't closed that latch. I closed it and no cold air hitting me on the side of the face. That latch provides a backup to the main door latch and it sucks in the top of the door to improve the seal around the door. If you didn't have it latched, 100% that was the issue.

I checked mine today. Hinge bolts were tight. The top latch did make a difference in pulling the door completely shut. It was noticeable when latching from outside the plane. My door latch plates looked exactly like yours.

You and Buzz are exactly right.
Flew today. The inside latch on the pilot side worked perfectly. It closed the air gap. Seemed to lift the pilot-side door just enough. (1/4 inch).
Will check door hinges and bolts next.
