I have 920lbs with 912is , BRS and G3X suite. Useful load with full tanks is only 200lbs. Any Idea of weight reduction?

Well not to get too personal but I know for me owning an LSA is great motivation to get the MTOW of the pilot down. I put on a little bit during covid while my gym was shut down. I am now working hard to get my weight down to the middle of the BMI chart for my frame size. Although I did take a few steps back during thanksgiving. Trying for a 40 lbs reduction and right now have lost 15. When you say full tanks how much you talking?

If your plane is a P2008 it’s safe at over 1500lbs Ed

It depends on the country. It took me awhile but, I eventually found 700k. In case you haven’t noticed it actually holds 32 US gallons of fuel. Ed

Nope, they all hold 32 gallons. If you are in doubt, empty your tanks and measure what it takes to fill them.

If you are topping off to the very top you most likely have about 32 gals on board. You need to check that but most of us have found this too be true. You have the 912IS which is more efficient than those of us with the 914. My point is you don't always have to top off. Less fuel = more useful load for people. Very often I leave with 25 gals on board. 1 gal to burn on the ground. And roughly 18 gals to burn in the air. Which should get me about three hours of flying at roughly 6 gal an hour. I like to leave 6 gals or about 1 hour as reserve. If it's just me and I want to go a distance then I top off. The big point is you can adjust your fuel load to help your useful load. I personally am very happy with 3 hours of air time. Your 912 IS gives you even more flexibility due to its lower fuel burn.

Thanks for all comments. Good info from Buzz that we have to spend 1 gal for ground movement. How long for taxi time with 1 gal? approx
