I saw that too - looks like Schappert is going to add multi-engine rating to his assortment of courses and videos. Great that he chose to 2006T! I took his online ground school class as a refresher before going flying in anything and really enjoyed it. Very enthusiastic guy; seems down to earth also...

Looks like Jason is going to be in Houston this weekend Joel with the P2006T. You should hop on over and see him and the plane!

It's a haul down to where he is ... although I will say that there is a great BBQ place there ... I'm not so keen on attending the seminar to be honest. Will consider it... Actually, I'm hoping to fly tomorrow rather than sit in a hangar for a seminar. That's the place I went for my AOPA Rusty Pilot seminar ...
Cheers!

Jason-MZeroA is all videos, no hands-on flying. Is that true? So what does that mean "he is adding a P2006T to his fleet"

I would think he is expanding his ground school to include twin engine training, and needs to do videos in a twin to provide that training.

If you watch his videos (which I did - re-did the PPL ground school as well as several in the IFR ground school, plus numerous Monday night webinars), Jason and his team does do instruction. However, his personal instruction time is very limited and they have articulated that they will only take a student for a PPL if they commit to going forward and getting an IFR rating, which is interesting. I could be wrong but I remember him saying that on a couple of videos. I also recommend his video "Flying Again," which is really my own story about returning after many years ... So I think they will use the 2006 for training as well as video production.
I went to bed last night and woke up today with a 100-degree fever, so wound up passing on both flying (we had a nice, high overcast this morning) and Jason's seminar, as it turned out.... Hopefully whatever it is will clear up shortly!
Cheers

Jason spoke at our club and I got the impression he did IFR training. A couple weeks later I contacted him because I wanted IFR in-aircraft training and he said they only do videos. Do you think that may not be the case??? Geobuff

That may have changed over time or even recently ... he is very busy traveling and speaking so he may have moved away from actual instruction ... I don't have any first-hand or recent knowledge however. I do like the videos, however, and his website was very helpful to me.

I asked him about instruction, and I believe the only thing he does is mock check rides.
I think he has around 6-8 thousand hours of real instruction already. I'm guessing it's easier to make a living doing online instruction.
