Dear pilots, I have a Tecnam P2002 Sierra Deluxe, with a Rotax 912 ULS3 that move a Hoffmann propeller HO-V352F1 with a hydraulic governor, it is running well, but I need to make the overhaul of the propeller, the cost from Hoffmann for the overhaul is more expensive that a new fix three blades DUC propeller, our mechanical guy sugest me change the propeller for a fix three Blades DUC propeller, and I am not sure that with a fix three Blades, the efficiency of the propeller will be best respect the current solution, I will apreciate your commentaries, experiences or test to understand better if could be better change or not.
Thanks in advance.

I'd never give up the CSU. There are just so many advantages including shorter take-off. better climb performance, more economical cruise and increased descent rate. I changed from 2 blades to 3 and didn't really notice much difference. Theoretically 2 blades are more efficient bit 3 run more smoothly and you can reduce the length a bit. My system is Airmaster with Whirlwind blades.
