The Rotax 914 Turbo engine has a new turbo oil sump that has a large a “plug screw assy” M22x1.5 drain bolt inside a drain hole with a tall “screen” filter that makes it easy to remove “coked” oil crud from the extreme heat of the turbocharger - especially common if the Pilot doesn’t cool down the Turbocharger by running the engine at idle for two minutes after landing. The parts needed were 1 ) Plug screw assy. M22x1.5 (part no. 640860) 2 ) O-ring 18x2.5-N (part no. 250055) 3 ) Oil sump assy. (part no. 656770) So now when I change the engine oil I will drain the turbo oil sump. It will clean out any Coking that could happen in the turbo system  |

I have been dealing with “Brett” 800-532-3462 ext.154 at Leading edge airfoils for “many” years. He is really a true professional! And my go to guy for any, parts, questions, or simply anything you or I may need for clarification purposes! He has the kits’s ready and in stock! How awesome is that! Shipped to your door $290.00 and Rotax does require IRMT certificate as you stated for the Installation. “This is considered heavy maintenance” not sure why, but it is per Rotax It’s installed simply awesome!
