Propeller pitch for 912is

Hi , folks
My P2008 with 912is can cruise around 108 KTAS at 8500ft with 5300-5400 RPM.
I’ve plan to adjust the Sensenich ground adjustable pitch to get more cruising speed but I’ve no idea how to?
Can I increase the pitch for 1 or 2 number and how much speed increment approximately?
Any idea? Thank you.

Set the pitch to achieve 5600 - 5650 WOT in level flight at your average altitude. Pitch will be different for owners who fly at different altitudes. The altitude plays a noticeable part.

That's close to what I'm seeing with my 912iS. I'm pitched in the middle at a 3. Obviously there are tradeoffs. You could do better in cruise or better in climb.  I typically pitch for whatever gets me 4 gph.

Hi All,

A different perspective I fly at pitch 4 due to the high DA and temps out here in the Desert South west. Works well out here just as an example. WOT I stay around 5500-5600 RPM good climb and cruise.

Dear all
My factory setting pitch with 912is was no.3 with WOT @8500’ is 5650 RPM and TOGA on gnd is 5000 RPM.
Last weekend I’ve tried to set it to no.5 and got only 4700 RPM WOT on takeoff run but during cruise at7500ft I can see 116KTAS
on WOT with just only 5100 RPM and 5GPH which theoretically can be maintained for the whole flight but purchase with significantly drop in rate of climb.
On no.3 setting I’ve got around 106-108 KTAS during cruise with 5300-5400 RPM with intensively monitor not to far beyond 5500RPM more than 5 mins.
This weekend I’ll try to set it no.4 as Ray & Lucy recommendation and hope this will be most suitable for me.

Finally I’ve got no.4 pitch. Very impressive for climb and cruise.
