Just a shout out to both Greg and Josh (Josh is chief of maintenance at Tecnam USA) for a simple and efficient process to get an LOA for a GPS navigator install for my P2008T. I almost didn't pursue it as I expected the process to be not worth the effort. About two weeks start to finish and a total cost of $150. I'll call that a win!
I got outstanding support from the G3Xpert team at Garmin - they provided all the documents and technical specifications that Tecnam requested.
Now that Tecnam is offering GPS navigators as a factory option, I figured they'd be open to requests. Mine was specifically for the GPS175, which was approved exactly as Garmin recommended.
I dont mind sending my support docs to anyone considering the upgrade - just shoot me a PM.
