Carb & Gearbox Inspection & Rebuild

Keen to hear any recommendations for companies that do carb & gearbox service for the Rotax. I’m sitting at 450 hours ATM, and planned on doing a carb overhaul and a gearbox inspection/repair when I hit 1/3 TBO (so about 667 hours).

Gearbox a-ok at my 100’s. Carbs great too / starts hot or cold and flies perfectly.

Totally ok having my A&P box it up and shipping it to a specialist. Going into my annual now, so I am trying to plan for expenses in this next annual cycle.

The folks in Sebring can do the gearbox inspection. An A&P is needed to remove the gearbox and reinstall once returned, of course. I thought mine was fine: it wasn’t. If they don’t find anything it’s not expensive. Mine had a wear issue. The inspection and rebuild saved me a potential major issue down the road. But not cheap.
