Chesapeake Sport Pilot announced on their Facebook page their happiness with Tecnam and the P92. See the post on the Facebook page. You may need to scroll down a bit. Chesapeake Sport Pilot Facebook PageDefinitely worth the read. Here's the first few sentences: "We have been exceptionally happy with Tecnam's willingness to fix the earlier parts distribution problem. We are happy to announce we have been receiving excellent parts service all year! As such, we are not only going to keep Eaglets in the fleet, but we are happy to bring on new leasebacks as well."

Nice to hear! So far, Tecnam has been responsive to my parts issues as well, which I gather is a big improvement from the situation a few years back. Having the Sebring facility and having made a big commitment to the US market seems to be paying off for us Tecnam customers...
Cheers

Aaron is going a good job keeping appropriate parts ordered and organized at the Sebring facility. Of course, he could not do that if Italy stopped shipping the parts to him, but it does take a dedicated and responsible person at Sebring to make it happen. Good job Aaron. We appreciate all your organizational skills. Roger

We are continually making improvements to better serve our customer. The factory has made a huge commitment to the USA. Parts inventory is very good.
Last week I called for the cost of a polished throttle handle included in the P2008 special edition and Aaron said do you want me to ship it out?
Aaron is doing a great job along with everyone else down there!

It's a really cool throttle knob. Reminds me of a 70's muscle car.

$380.00 with shipping to Mankato.
I am going to order a couple for customers. If anyone else wants one we could try for a quantity discount. No idea how much less it might be but I'm sure it wont be $50.00

You know, there are opportunities for cottage industries. You just need an idea. I bet whoever is doing this set up a small chrome/electroplating facility and perhaps uses $15 worth of chrome in the process. Next idea We need to be making money to support our expensive flying habits. I bet if this was a knob for an automobile, it would cost 1/3 that. Just for grins I will check out Autozone and see what they have in chrome knobs. gee's, i need to get a life.

But this one has the Tecnam logo on it. It's like paying extra for the Nike swish.

Nice! Wonder what the cost would be if we all bought one? $380.00 sounds just a little high...... With the group discount maybe $350.00 each?

Called Mooney and the part was well over $100. We took out the lock and it had a Volkswagen part number. A quick trip to the dealer and $18 later, Wa-La, new lock. I could go on and on. Itโs really sad how they gouge us, all in the name of safety or having a part be โcertifiedโ.
