Hi, Tecnamtalk was bought to my attention today by a fellow Tecnam owner. I own ZK AST, Number 15 in the ASTORE production run. The photo on the homepage is from a flying magazine article about the aircraft soon after it was imported into NZ. I have flown over a 100 hours in it and she is a great bird. It's taken me all around both islands of NZ and in three weeks time a group of club members are flying our planes down to the mountains of the South Island for a week. AST has a 912ULS twin carb ROTAX with a double bladed prop fixed pitch prop. The twin Dynon screens are finicky at times but with AVPLAN charts and plates it makes navigation a breeze.

Welcome Kiwi! Yes, I echo Clue's thoughts as well. Pictures would be GREAT! I was watching some videos last night of a blue Astore flying out of Milford Sound in New Zealand. We're glad to have you!

Hey - welcome to another Astore owner!!! You can see my aircraft (serial no. 37, with dual Garmin G3X screens) in my avatar ... It's always great to meet another pilot who knows where the wings are supposed to go on his or her airplane ... *laughing* and just kidding. Some of my best friends are P2008 owners! What engine do you have in your aircraft? I have the 914 and others on the forum have the 912iS...
We apparently feature your plane in the photos on our forum site - so hopefully you won't be suing us for royalties! Tecnam used a photo of mine recently on their FB site ... I guess that makes us "almost famous."
It's a good group on this forum and there are a couple other Dynon owners too ... I hope you find the forum helpful and friendly!
Cheers! Joel

Hi Kiwi:
I also have a Astore with twin Dynon Skyview Touch. Two years ago I received the first customer Astore in the USA, which I purchased at Sun-N-Fun in April 2014. I took delivery in September. It was production run #27. I have the 912_IS, which is relatively trouble-free. I did have problems with my Dynon for a year, but it turned out it was really not Dynon's fault. I had a short in my circuit breaker panel, which was a Tecnam factory issue. After that was finally fixed, no more issues with Dynon. I now have over 300 hours on the Astore. The aircraft does take maintenance however. All SLSA's are built light, and things break or wear out faster than traditional GA aircraft. It is the price we pay for low fuel burn. Best wishes and happy hours in the air.
What is your home airport and what city is it in (or near).
