There was an interpretation error that was published in the Service Instruction. Stay tuned for the next revision of that SI. It is allowed to use 8 new spark plugs with 8 new caps. It is allowed to use 8 old spark plugs with 8 new caps. It is allowed to use 8 new spark plugs with 8 old caps. It is not allowed to use 1 old spark plug with 7 new spark plugs (and all other combinations of mixture old and new spark plugs). It is not allowed to use 1 old cap with 7 new caps (and all other combinations of mixture old and new caps). |

Called Lockwood to order some new spark plugs today. ($2.95 ea) Out of curiosity, I inquired about the new plugs & connectors mentioned in SI-912 i-013 / SI-912-027 / SI-914-028. New connectors = $40.15 ea (x8) New plugs = $22.05 ea (x8) Total expense = $497.60 + shipping  While it is not mandatory, they did tell me that when they run out of the old connectors, we will have to do the upgrade. |
