Hi Guys, Not sure what you guys are using to jack your Airplane while working on the main gear. But this pad works great! I used it to install my new Beringer's here's the link www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/topages/bogertjacks3.php?clickkey=82549A new member posted it on our forum some time ago, there were no replys or comments so I thought I would bring it up again.... Any pics of the plane jacked up? It's hard to tell from the pic on the website - does that part go on the strut?

Any pics of the plane jacked up? It's hard to tell from the pic on the website - does that part go on the strut? It attaches to the gear leg, low enough for your bottle jack to reach it. I don't have any pictures but I'm sure someone will post one shortly. Glenn

Made my own out of some timber. Just make sure that you have some soft material to protect the paint on the gear leg.
I also made a bracket that fits on the 2 outer spring retainer bolts, similar to the spring retainer bracket but with enough clearance so that I can pull the gear leg out.
I'll see if I can attach some photos, will be pulling out one leg soon.

sorry, didn't take the legs off yet, is still a couple of months away (need to clean and repaint both legs). OK, the repair shop who took the hail dings out repainted my gear legs, so no photos of the actual jacking operation. The plate on the gear leg requires a vertical moving jack and can be a bit wobbly as the leg stretches out with the weight moved further in. The bridge goes in place of the aluminium gear leg retainer, held in place with a couple of long tek screws through the normal bolt holes. Same here, when you jack up one side, the location of the bridge can change a bit so have the opposite wheel properly choked and support the tail cone at one of the rear bulk heads.
