As a new owner and having recently gone through this process, I thought I'd share a few things I think a new owner should consider to make this process as painless as possible...
1. Read the warranty agreement - cover to cover. Make sure you read it and understand it before you close. Ask questions. 2. Know the Tecnam warranty claim process inside and out. Not only from your side, but from the Service Center's side. There are steps they must follow too. 3. Immediately notify Tecnam of any possible warranty items. There is a window of opportunity that will close quickly. (refer back to #1 for the "how to notify") 4. Do not rely on a Service Center to handle this for you. You are a party to your agreement, not the Service Center. 5. Get involved. Manage the process from start to finish. Do not rely on others to handle it for you. 6. Document everything. Take pictures, save e-mails, etc. There is no such thing as too much detail. 7. Patience. All final decisions come from Italy.
Follow these steps and any warranty claims that come up should be a non-issue.

I would add: Make sure you have it in writing a) what work is to be performed and b) authorization that it is covered under warranty and will be paid for by Tecnam

I’ve had a number of issues with warrantee problems on my 3 p2008’s and they’ll all be covered in the upcomming mini series soon to be a movie of the week, AS THE PROPELLER SPINS, OR NOT. I will say go thru your salesman, I’ve never gotten anywhere with Sebring. Hopefully you bought the plane from Mark Gregor then you’ve got sombody on your side

BOY ARE YOU 100% CORRECT!!! I don’t want to give away the particulars as of yet because I’m composing a letter to Tecnam. I’ve bought technically 3 p2008TC’s and yes from Mark. I certainly agree with you that he does go to bat for you but I think his hands are pretty well tied when it comes to Italy. One of the biggest mistakes I made was to go to Sebring to pick up my plane. Big, Big mistake. Once again I’ll cover that whole topic in the series soon to be a made for TV movie. LOL. Mark really works with you and With Patrick McKinsey by his side it’s a really great team. I’ve done a fair amount of flying with of both of them and I think I’ve added some grey hairs to both. What amazes me is that Tecnam is pretty inflexible and you would think that when you spend 230k for an LSA they would work with you more. I go into more of that later. I’ve flown 8 other LSA’s and looked up specifics on about 120 different brands, some not available in the USA and the bottom line is Trecnam makes the best P2008, Astore. They are so far ahead of the competition it isn’t funny. Before I bought the first P2008 I talked with 3 other Tecnam dealers and I felt Mark was the best, he helped you find the best plane for you nott just sell you what he wanted to sell. No wonder he sells more Tecnam than everyone else put together. Sorry for the delay in answering the text I’m still trying to get this website down. Wishing you Blue Skies and Good Tailwinds. Gary

I will say go thru your salesman, I’ve never gotten anywhere with Sebring. Sadly, they have really just become a sales center, not a service center. I've had good results with SouthTec and Lockwood.
