Tecnam recently announced an updated P2010, available with the Lycoming IO-390, constant-speed propeller, and Garmin G1000 NXi avionics. Updated performance data is not published, but rumors from Sun N Fun suggested max cruise in the high 140s and roughly 10 gph:

The number Shannon give us in sun and fun on the P-2010 MKII is 150+ Kts, the price option at this point for this engine is 12,000$ us, including the IO-390 Engine 215hp, The G1000 NXI and the constant speed prop,
Butm No improvement on max take off weight and useful load....
Not fun at all to see my P-2010 be call Legacy already...

That's a pretty perky cruise speed; a little surprised about the MTOW and useful load, however - perhaps that would have complicated the supplemental type certificate for the changes and required more expensive testing? I'm guessing that both would have improved strictly speaking ...
Did you see what the total price tag with the NXi panel/CS prop/IO-390 is for 2017?
I assume still no chute option on the 2010?
And yes, that's tough to see an update so soon after you bought it... but it's tough for manufacturers ... if they announce updates too soon, they lose sales in the meantime (the "Osborne Effect") - if they wait, they risk antagonizing existing customers. Cirrus has the same issue with their recent G6 folks ... the guys who bought 2016 G5 Cirri missed out on the NXi upgrades (and the SR20 buyers missed out on the IO-390 and the 150 pounds more useful load) ... and there is no STC for the new avionics, for example. So there's plenty of bitching on those forums ... having said that, everybody generally benefits when updated/upgraded aircraft come out, and some of it is just the (bad) luck of the draw.
Thanks!

Shannon explain to us, in italie and europe as per IASA, the same aircraft can have (if i remeber right 200 poud more in max take off weight) its just paper work and regulation from FAA and Transport Canada,
The price tag to have the New G1000 nxi, the Lycoming IO-390 and come with the constant speed prop too for only 12,000$ us more... so if you take the Entry price for the Tecnam P-2010 with the G1000 no autopilot
the price is 370,000$, so add th2 12,000$ for the Io-390, G1000 nxi and the constant speed prop, you are at 382,000$, but not premium interior and upgraded paint, no auto pilot, adsb in and out compliant,
and remeber this, the constant speed prop option them self is 9500$, so make the number here, when you get the nx0-io-390, the constant speed prop came with it, its a deal....
the engine add 25 pound of weight, the constant speed prop add 20 pound, fuel burn is 13.1 GPH at 75% and 10 GPH at 65%, so the useful load at his point with the io-390 is 871 pound, no fuel.
WIth the Legacy P-2010, i got 977 Pound useful load, no fuel. i dont have the constant speed prop, and i have the i0-360, fuel burn is 11 GPH at 75% adn 8.5 GPH at 65%, but im looking foward to get the constant speed prop, to improve the performance....,
all this number is the number on paperwork from tecnam.
cant wait to see the first one with all this new option adn have a flight test on it...., and im pretty shure tecnam will came with a Max take off increase kit or something....

thanks much ... pretty decent deal ($USD I assume?) for a new aircraft with 150+ knot cruise, Garmin NXi, etc. Interestingly, that's within just a few thousand of a base model Cirrus SR-20 (without any of the options) ...
Bummer they don't have a chute option for it (especially if they can put thru a useful load increase ...).
Cheers!

So with 871 pound useful load, minus 330 lbs for full fuel, you're left with 540 lbs for passengers and cargo? Is my math right?

I think that's right. A base model SR20 has 694 lbs useful load at full fuel. But remember, that's the G6 ... the G3 had exactly 540 lbs of useful load ... Cirrus upped the useful load just this year by going to the IO-390. I think we'll have to wait and see if the P2010 useful load increases as well...

with the GFC 700, Tas 800, premium interior and upgraded interior, with all extrat we are talking about 430k us.... still under cesna 172, and cirrus aircraft... and Da-40...
Lets do this...

That's about the same as an SR20 with some (but not all) of the options... it's definitely a competitor to the SR20 however, particularly for those who prefer a high wing. It outperforms the C172 and the Skylane... Tecnam has definitely upped its game with this version of the 2010!
