Spare Keys -
I ordered spare keys for my P2008 doors and ignition in early February. That was four months ago. I'm told periodically that the keys are on order and that they would let me know when they arrive. Tecnam knows how to motivate a guy to not lose his keys.
In case anyone else has keys on order: I still need to receive spare keys for the doors from Tecnam. I did, however, find spare ignition blanks from Aircraft Spruce. I have a 2016 - P2008-TC. The Aircraft Spruce key blank that is the same as my ignition key is: P/N: 05-03666 (LOC: 07IB) ACS Double Sided Blank Key w/Black Boot. I successfully had a key shop cut the keys. They work.
If anyone knows an alternate source for door key blanks, please advise. Thanks.

John,
Good idea to have some spare ignition keys. We've all misplaced our car keys more than we want to admit. Sometimes I think I can't have enough spares as I get older and more absent minded. But after seeing a couple of doors completely ruined, I never lock my doors anymore. Today's expensive gold plated avionics are an attraction and if someone wants in bad enough to booger up my door or fuselage I'd rather they just take what they want. That's one of the things insurance is for. However 99% of the time my planes are safe in my hangar behind my home. And away from home, I usually get a spot in a hangar.
