Not my cup of tea; you really have to camp and the flying in/out looks quite challenging.

They are going to have 12 Redbird simulators there, including the crosswind simulator. That would be fun!

I went last year but only go every other year. ALWAYS drive, not fly. I like to bring a motor scooter for getting to the site daily, and live off campus at night. I like my air conditioning at night. No camping in HOT Wisconsin for me.
I normally will spend 5 days on site. Really enjoy the week. I am a real walk-around junkie and enjoy everything.

While we are on the subject of these shows, question for Mark - will Tecnam be at the Midwest LSA expo in September, and if so, would it be you Mark or others? Just curious ...
Cheers!

Yes I will be at the Midest LSA show. For the Last several years it has only been me and a couple of our people there but Shannon may come if his schedule allows.
It would be great to see any of you that can make it! Will be around the same time that a group of new planes should be arriving from Tecnam so it will be a busy time.

Tecnam will be at our usual location at Oshkosh. All models will be presented. We will have demo flights available off site for potential buyers. We are always happy to see both current and potential owners or anyone interested in Tecnam so please stop by!
If you have never attended Oshkosh it is bigger than you can imagine. You could spend all seven days there and not see it all. There are so many learning opportunities and events (along with every conceivable airplane made on display)that you just cannot squeeze it all in. I remember the first time I attended Oshkosh. My inlaws lived near there and asked if I wanted to go. I was not yet a pilot. It was something I always wanted to do but had not found the time yet. After a day at Oshkosh I knew it was something I wanted to do now and promptly went home and started lessons! Maybe even more than all the airplanes was the people I met. Pilots and the people interested in aviation are a different kind of people and it was a group I enjoyed being around. Camping is great if that is your thing. If not the close hotels are already filled but farther out towns will have rooms. If it were me and I wanted to fly in I would land at an airport just outside Oshkosh, ge3t a hotel room and rent a car. I am familiar with the area so if anyone wants a suggestions please call me!

I hope the Midwest LSA show is better than their Facebook page. Last updated in 2011?
