During a preflight a few days ago I noticed that the pilot side strobe/nav light was shorted out. (Circuit breaker was popping when I turned it on.) Put the passenger side strobe on the pilot side circuit and it ran fine. Faulty strobe light confirmed. Tecnam advised me to contact Aveo Engineering (manufacturer of the light) directly. (PS - Excellent customer service!!!) They were willing to replace them at no cost and/or offered me an upgrade to the latest and greatest fixtures for $100 ($500 new!) - no questions asked. Received the replacement (upgraded) strobes in 1 day. The only problem was the new strobes came without the 3-pin connector. (Impossible to find at local hardware/electrical supply stores!) but they can be purchased here: 3-pin Connector Link
Flying down to Aircraft Spruce tomorrow to pick up the new connectors. I'll post a follow up tomorrow. PS - The new drop-in strobe lights can be found here: Aveo Powerburst Daylite

PS - the old strobes need to be "waxed" otherwise they will 'yellow" over time. I've been told that the new strobes will not yellow. Comparing my old strobes to the new ones, it appears that the yellowing effect has begun. My old strobes were about a little over a year old.
