Did any of you do a Pre-Buy Inspection on a P2008 before you took ownership? Please let me know your experience and post (or send me) your inspection checklist for the requirements to review so I know what should be checked by my mechanic. Thanks!

Let us know in general what you hear from the other members if they messaged you privately. I have no pre buy inspection checklist, but I will throw in my two cents.
One recommendation is to go through the forum here and review all the issues discussed by owners. On the rotax side, we've seen carb issues, such as a drop of pressure in flight, and carb floats that need replacing. On the 914 we've seen possible wastegate issues, i.e. sticky wastegate. On the 912is we've seen gearbox concerns and Lane A/B issues. And a Rotax certified shop will have all the service bulletins.
On the airframe side we've had the spinner plates, a few brake and tire issues, and the occasional avionics problems. I'm sure I've missed a few others.
I know such a limited list may not be very helpful, but the P2008 is not a legacy aircraft but a fairly new Tecnam. I think you're going to be fine, (assuming the logbooks are complete) and will just experience the usual squawks after purchasing.
Having said all this, I would like to see a pre-buy checklist for the aircraft as well!
