I had an interesting take off experience today. Good preflight, good take off roll, but the elevator control was difficult on the climb out. As I got to an initial 2000 feet and the nose want to push down. This made no sense. I looked at my PFD and saw that my electric trim was almost all the way up to ‘D’. It was center positioned on the pre-flight.
I’ve concluded that somehow I actuated the button and sent the trim to that setting—probably from hand movement as I either taxi’d or held the stick with my right hand during the run-up.
New mental checklist item: validate trim location AGAIN before entering the runway.

Double check everything! Absolutely nothing wrong with a second look! A very cheap lesson!
