Hi fellow forum members,
My name is Simon Ford and I fly a Tecnam Sierra P2002 here in New Zealand.
I am going to Oshkosh this year with another friend from New Zealand and our respective partners. Our intention is to fly into Oshkosh in a rented C182. We arrive in Houston in early July, intend to make our way north to Memphis after visiting New Orleans and rent a C182 (private or commercial) and head to Wittman Regional over a 4-5 day period, stay for about 5 days at Oshkosh then return the C182 and continue with our trip in the US through to mid August.
We are open to pick up a C182 aircraft from anywhere that is sort of on the way from New Orleans to Oshkosh. Memphis just seemed like a good starting point.
Would someone on this forum be a good person to talk to, or could they put me in touch with someone talk to, about our tentative plans, good stop-over points, likely weather in July, potential rental organisations/locations etc etc. Happy to do a Skype or Facebook Messenger session if that would work.
