In December I replaced my right wing strobe: the nav light worked fine but my strobe did not. No issues with the left wing, either light. Over the last couple of pre flights the right side is at it again—strobe and nav worked fine at pre flight, but strobe was not working at landing (after a couple of flight hours, but Nav light was fine.)
Has anyone else had this issue?

There has been some ongoing quality issues from the supplier. Failed units have all been replaced replaced at no cost.

I had the same issue and like Flocker replaced both sides with the upgraded model for $100. The work was done during my recent annual with tomiaircraft.com and I understand the manufacturer was very responsive.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I will ask my maintenance shop to see about getting a new set of the upgraded item.

I suggest that turning the strobes on after startup, to avoid power surge during the start.

Problems have been intermittent. Unfortunately it is likely to return.

Weather permitting I’m flying up to Midwest Sky Sport next week for the install, a mid-year oil change, and to get the Advisory on the Nose Wheel addressed.

My problem with the strobe light is the way it's attached to the aircraft. The forward rivnut for one of my strobe lights is loose. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I really can't understand why Tecnam has used this method to attach the nav-strobe lights to the wing tip since it is composite.
Just about any kind of blind fastener is going to be troublsome in composite construction (rivnut, nutserts, etc.). I've used these sucessfully in metal but I've had issues in fiberglass and composite. Anyone have a better idea?

I have the same exact strobe issue. The right strobe pops the breaker. I have it in the shop now. My mechanic is not having a lot of luck contacting the mfg. we’ll see what happens.

I have an older Tecnam, but I think the strobe is the same. I had issues and it turned out to be the battery. When you have it checked out, have the mechanic do a full battery check.
