Hi,
My wife and I are both fairly new pilots and we just bought a 2014 P2008 from Mark.
The first 2 priorities are getting a parachute installed and adsb out.
Questions:
Has anyone had the Magnum Chute installed post-buy and know someone who can install it? I would prefer someone who has done it before in a P2008...I really want to have it done correctly. In other words, I would like it to open if pulled.
I will be checking around Dallas for a Garmin shop to install the Garmin 20A. Any "leasons learned" on this install would be appreciated.
We are both excited to become part of the Tecnam family and starting to fly our plane.

I almost bought a used P2008 with chute prep, but ended up buying new which included a chute and adsb. So I cannot help you there, sorry! Welcome to the forum.

Congratulations to you and Hollie. After you and Hollie spent an hour looking at and sitting in my P2008, I was hoping you'd make the right decision. Welcome to TecnamTalk also. No suggestions for a chute but for ADS-B work I'd go to Trevor Smith at Tech Aero Avionics in Denton. He has done a few GPS-20A and GDL-39R installs. Getting an appointment may take longer than you'd like. His shop is very, very busy.

Welcome Dave and Hollie. I am not sure about the chute, but am curious. Do you already have the straps in the plane and just adding the canister or are you looking to install everything? Mostly curious if and how straps would be installed. Good luck. You will love the 2008.

Hey Buzz...yes we already have the straps in the plane. It is "parachute ready" as Mark put it. You can see the little white straps that are anchored and runs through the airframe.

![]() Second one shows the chute prep straps. I talked to Chad at Tecnam Sebring and they can install it for me - Told me they have a few scheduled for chute addition within the next few months. Looks like Hollie and I can go to Harry Potter world after all. Attachments:

Thanks Glenn... I blame both you and Drew for this deal! That's one of the best things I've ever been "blamed" for.  Drew said you planned to drive to Mankato. Coming from steam gauges it took some practice to get comfortable with the G3X. I still use it often to explore all the little corners of functionality and new functions when they arrive.
