I'm thinking about taking the Lockwood Rotax classes at the end of August. For those who took the classes did you take both the Service and Maintenance classes or just the Service class? Anyone else planning on attending the classes starting on Aug. 27th?

I took the service class a few years ago. Very informative and it has saved me a lot of money not having to fly to Charlotte or Sebring for oil changes, ect.

I took the service class at Lockwood...BUT NOT IN THE August HEAT. I went in October!! Dean Vogel knows Rotax. You will not regret it. I suggest you download the Rotax manuals and at least be a little familiar with them before you go.

I went last August. It was hot, but not unbearable. If August works for you, I wouldn't hesitate to book it. The classroom is air conditioned. Most of the hands on work is in the shade in the hangar. The only thing we did outside without cover was synching the carbs.

I'm going to brave the August heat and sign up for the service class. Fingers crossed I'll survive two days without getting a heat stroke. If anyone else from the forum plans on attending let me know and the first beer is on me.
