On both my old and new P92, the brake lines are fastened to the gear legs with a clear, 1" tape-like strip. The "tape" eventually gets weak and breaks.
What are you all using to replace that tape? I've used high quality, semi-clear reinforced duct-type tape, and it works, but looking for something cleaner.

Aircraft gap seal tape. I have the same setup and it's used there and also around the cabin roof where the BRS would be located.
It's bright white and shiny.

If you've got a link for the stuff, please send it to me, but what I'm looking at online is in the $100/roll (1") area. For that price, I might have to stick with my clear duct tape.

Now Chris you know everything in aviation is X 25. So a $4 roll of tape is a $100 roll of aviation tape.

Thanks for the link, and that's more like it! Less than $20/roll including shipping. Much better that the $100/roll stuff I was looking at last night. I should have it by Thursday!

UPDATE: I installed the above gap seal yesterday. Seems to work fine and looks pretty good. Even though I ordered clear, it came in white. That turned out to be Ok. It kept me from having to be too concerned with how it looked under the old tape. In fact, on most of the application, I left the old tape in place. I would not have been able to do that if it had been clear. Worked out well. Be advised, when I pulled off the old tape on the runs that had failed, it pulled white paint off the leading edge of the gear, right down to the primer. My old vile of LVP "traffic white" touch-up paint had dried up. I ordered new in a paint pen this time. Here's the link: www.lvppaints.com/RAL-9016-Touch-Up-Pen.html

Hi all,
Just use a simple roll of clear Gorilla tape 6 bucks itβs every where works like a charm......... $ 100.00 for aviation tape thatβs pretty steep! I have been using it for the last five years absolutely not one issue easy on and off.... Never ever had it crack or fail....
