I'd love to fly up for the day when you're there. Even if I don't touch anything, it would be very helpful to see and demystify the whole process. Who knows? Maybe if I got past the initial FOC (fear of clecoes), I would be a customer one day.
I solved similar problems to your by converting my P2008 to experimental status, adding a certified GPS and having the operating limitations amended to allow IFR flight. So, my primary interest for the future would be getting two seats back (I flew a series of Cirruses back in my heavy-travel days) and gaining the efficiency of a constant speed prop. The Sling is a really cool plane, too.
