So I am noticing like a graphite colored lube around the hinge areas every time I come back from flying. Shoukd I be putting something back on these. Also is there some type of procedure to make sure it gets inside the hinge holes.

I'm a fan of Boeshield T9, developed by the Boeing Co. Water resistant, rust proof, will dry and leave lubricant film. Comes in a spray can or small bottle with a drip spout.
