Hi I have a question about Smart Glide if you have a Garmin 175 WAAS navigator installed.
Garmin's website states that Smart Glide is available for G3X installations.
"G3X Touch Experimental GTN Xi series navigator not required Smart Glide support now available. Requires software version 8.91 or greater."
So I assume that folks with the G3X alone are now getting Smart Glide, is that right?
Now I also know that Smart Glide is available for the GTN 750. But I don't think it's available for the 175. So my question is: for those of you with the 175 installed are you able to get Smart Glide? If so how...by switching the nav source to the G3X's GPS? Or does installing the 175 kill the opportunity to use Smart Glide? I am not yet an owner so I don't know the avionics real well yet.
Thanks.

I have it configured in my G3X, didn’t install anything in my external 635 navcom. Even when I have the 635 as my nav source, the Smart Glide still works on the G3X—and is fabulous.

Had an inquiry the other day on settings. Here's a screen shot of what I have. It works very well.
