On Friday, winds at my home field -- KWVI, Watsonville CA -- are expected to be 20 gusting 30.
That might an average day in some places, but it's rare at KWVI. My plane is tied down outside, secured by chains and nosewheel chocks.
Question: Since the P2008 doesn't have gust locks, is there anything I should do to secure the sticks?

Wrap the sticks with the seatbelt work fairly well.

Yes, use the seatbelts to secure both sticks in the full aft position. Also, if at all possible, tie you plane down with the nose pointed into the forecast wind direction before the winds hit.

I went to my local dog store and bought 2 dog seat belts. I had the shoe maker sew a loop at one end to fit over the stick , the other end plugs into the seat belts , you than adjust the dog leash and you now have the best gust lock ever.

I connect a bungee cord to the rudder pedal and the yoke.

I connect a bungee cord to the rudder pedal and the yoke. That's a good idea.
