I have a 2018 p2008 turbo and the parking brake has never held for the runup. It has Beringer wheels and brakes but it looks like Matco master Cylinders The Beringer pads are 10 hours old. The parking brake will hold till about 3000 rpm and then it will move if you are not holding the pedals. Is this normal or time to bleed the brakes?

Sounds a little low. I think mine starts becoming ineffective around 3500. But for sure will not hold for the 4000 ignition check.

The Matco master cylinder have too big of a bore. The Barringer’s have a much smaller bore. Hydraulic ratio’s are just like gear ratio’s. I had the same combination and I would get leg cramps using the brakes. Ed

Hi Ronnin,
I have owned Two P-2008’s both were pretty much the same as far as the parking brake go’s 3500 RPM seems to be pretty much the point where you have to apply more brake pressure to hold the airplane at 4000 RPM…….. From what I have read other owners are saying the same thing …..
So I think your paring brake is working as advertised…… For me I like to have my feet on the brakes during the mag check anyway ✈️👍🏻✅😊🌟
Ray & Lucy ✈️✅✅🌟😊

It's all because your airplane gets excited and wants to go when that throttle is advanced! Lol.
