I had my cowlings off to do a routine mx check on my P2008t. On the underside of my exhaust pipe, near the elbow bend coming out of the muffler, my mechanic noted a small hairline crack on the pipe. When doing a normal pre-op it was on the OTHER side of where you would reasonably look. We will get it fixed, but be aware of what you can’t easily see when the cowlings are on.

I will be at my hanger this week and provide pictures and measurements for you. I have the original receipt and will send a copy of it also. In 2018 it was about $480 for both the exhaust and clamp.
However, to Tecnam's credit, it was covered under warranty as the plane was relatively new and had under 100 hours on it!
