I am in the market of a new or used plane, and I currently have a 182S, and a SR22T, I would like to upgrade the 182, and have been looking at the P2010 TDI or the Grand Lusso. My questions are since I’ve had a few issues with the cirrus are Tecnam parts hard to get in the states, and if they aren’t do they come at a premium. Also, how does the plane really compare to a 182? The reason it is appealing to me is the G1000 and the turbo, but will the useful load be a draw back, and would a t182t Cessna be a better plane? Lastly, is there any opinion on how the Tecnam diesel plane will hold its value in 5-10 years.
Thanks

Welcome to the club! I’ve no idea on your question of value 5-10 years down the road: there just aren’t enough P2010’s out there to make a conjecture. Judging by other Tecnam models (other than the P2006 Twin) I don’t think a horrible depreciation over time is a huge risk.
As to capabilities—it’s a 4-seat airplane where carrying three will always keep you in limitations. Everything I’ve read on the P2010 indicates it is comparable to the C182, so much so that will probably be a matter of taste and which one feels right. The one constant that I read is that those who know both prefer flying the P2010, if it has the bigger engine, over the more stodgy C182.
As to service and parts and customer care after the sale—that is where Tecnam, unfortunately, is not very good. Local dealers try. But it is that local dealer you’ll be dealing with and the Tecnam company does not support these local dealers particularly well. And what you purchase from them that is a specific Tecnam part will be expensive. Common parts and Lycoming engine service is easier because that is a common and standardized brand. However, when it comes to Tecnam service and support (which is improving somewhat)—and after purchase costs, it’s not good.
Getting my Porsche or Mercedes serviced is a lot more expensive than the same items for my Chevy. If you think of the Cessna like a Chevy then the expense of the Tecnam makes sense.
But when the C182 is parked beside the P2010, two things do happen: folks ignore the Cessna to look inside the P2010, and everyone comments on how gorgeous the Tecnam is. Curb appeal does usually cost more.

I have a P2010 and love it. I ordered it in August 2021 and picked it up at Sebring, Florida in February 2022. After a few hours of training (insurance requirement) I flew it back to Southern California. I ordered the high performance IO-390 215 HP engine and have no regrets especially now that there is G100UL fuel approved. You can read my experience here from order to arriving at my home airport in SoCal (KFUL) with the plane: www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/threads/ordered-new-tecnam-p2010.133681/Most of my time is in 172 and 182 and the P2010 with IO-390 engine competes well with the 182. Some parts are the same as Cessna others need to come from Tecnam. I've had parts sent from Italy to Sebring, Florida, to me in just a couple days. No complaints. I've had a couple minor warranty items resolved quickly to my satisfaction. My mechanic knows the Avgas Lycoming engines well and Tecnam maintenance docs are great and easily followed by him (50 hour, 100 hour, annual, etc.) The P2010 is now selling for about 10% more than I paid when purchased in August 2021. I just went and looked at a new P2010 TDI, and I liked how the plane looked, but some of my concerns were that the salesman who showed me the plane said that it was a bit underpowered and the climb was not great especially on a hot day. Also I was wondering if anyone know what the true air speed would be at altitude, such as 10,000 or 16,000. Lastly what options do you think are must haves if ordering a new TDI.

I defer to others as I have no experience with the TDI. The IO-390 has plenty of power for me. I added Synthetic Vision, Flight Stream 510 and the upgraded paint.

I use to fly at FL110 or FL120 (in Europe), with a power setting of 2200 RPM and around 86% PWR (you can fly at MCP, 91% / 2250 RPM, but 50 less RPM feel a bit smoother and more relaxed to me). I get between 136KT and 139KN TAS based on OAT and ALT.

I also looking for plane, and try to decide if P2010 will be good choice.

I'm pretty happy with mine. Where are you at YuriY? I am in northern California. I tested out the TDI version for a demo today. I was quite satisfied with it, so if I decide to go with the 2010 model, I think I'll choose the TDI version, not the 215.
