Would love for the bag door to stay fully open rather than just swing shut on itself. Would make it a lot easier to load and unload things. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I might be able to spring load the door so it stays fully open until it’s shut? Would definitely appreciate any ideas because I’m struggling to come up with any solutions here. Thanks!

Maybe some sort of wedge to put between the door and the fuselage?

Maybe you could use one of the pax door pistons? Maybe even a long, closely wound spring going from the door frame to the top or bottom of the door. With the spring, which I've seen used on some Cessna twin nose baggage doors, you simply break it over in the middle area as you close the door. When you open it, the spring returns to it's straight form and keeps things open 'till wind grabs it or you flex the spring and close the door. I'm not sure there's a good STC for adding any of that stuff to the door, but it's not my plane so...who knows?

I would get a styrofoam block or pool noodle and slide it down from the top and put the door in a slit of it to keep it open.
