Has anyone had this happen? The hole is stripped out and will no longer hold a screw. What’s the repair?

It’s an 8-32 I would assume you can just drill the old out and install a rivet nut.

View AttachmentFlocker, does that screw go into the metal wheel fork or just into the fiberglass wheel pant to hold the two pieces together? Based on the position I’m assuming it’s one that goes into the metal fork. If so, just use a tap set and retap the hole for the M4 size. If it won’t take, you’ll have to step it up to the next bigger size which is M5 and tap for that and then install an M5 screw. Which means then the screws wouldn’t match so if it were me, I’d probably step them all up to M5 so they match.

I pretty sure it's just the fiberglass. I'll take a closer look this afternoon.

I’m dealing with the same issue. It’s just fiberglass. I’m going to reinforce it.

Metal clips on the lower (inside) of the two pieces for the connecting screws to screw into.
