I (finally) pulled the plug and acquired a P2008 (N78AV). Headed down to Richmond, VA to pick it up and fly it back (with instructor) to KLNS (Lancaster, PA) on Friday. It will get it's 5 year hose replacement tended to by the fine folks there. It's a 2012 vintage with the iS motor and ultimately will be based at W73 (near Gettysburg, PA.) Wish me luck!

Congratulations Do you know if the engine has been upgraded to the “Sport version”. Original ISs were lacking in power although very economical. Ed

Thanks for the "head's up". Yes, the "iS Sport Upgrade Kit" was installed in August 2014 at Lockwood.
Two independent shops will have eyes on the craft before it comes to finally live with me at W73.

What does it have for avionics in it? I don’t think it had an autopilot when I flew it.

We have all been there 😊 would be very happy to provide answers to all your questions. I have bought two P-2008’s and “My” newest one N356X “had numerous” squawks! And this was a “brand” “New Airplane” working the one last one! Three years later! With my Auto pilot “pitch & roll” servos and then some! I completed the “LSRM” training class at “Rainbow Aviation” two years ago.I highly recommend it! It will really answer a lot of “questions” I know you already have? 😊 Brian & Carol Carpenter are terrific “Instructors” the course is worth every penny! This gives you the authorization to work on just about anything you want to do! And the best part! You can work on “any” Other light Sport Aircraft! AND CHARGE FOR YOUR SERVICES! if you decide you would like to do your own maintenance! Of course you can pay and “A&P” and drop off the airplane, but just think? Thanks for all of the nice comments! I (finally) was able to get the P2008 delivered to me (best for logistics) and checked out for solo flight. Now onto four hours of solo before I can take passengers (insurance purposes.) The shop took a bit longer than expected due to a "surprise" with the gear box. I had it sent out for inspection and the verdict was "trashed". I suspected as much as on the ferry flight to Lancaster there was some noticeable and at times, odd vibrations occurring. The good news is that with the newer style gear box, repitched and balanced prop, new rubber hoses along with new engine mounts the plane climbs well, pulls strong, and is very smooth.
Just in time for some nice fall flying in the Mid-Atlantic!
