Maybe this should be in the "Maintenace" section but since this is for a P2008 I'll wing it here.
"2012 Hyd. gas cylinders added to cabin doors to hold them open when unlatched."
The gas cylinder on my left door is mostly kaput. It was replaced once and the log book says it was a 210-2-4210-001 but not where it came from. Anyone know a source for these gas springs (besides trying Tecnam)?

Google the number on the cylinder. I got a package of four cheep on Amazon about five years ago. One end is different but, you just transfer to end off the old one all is good. Takes five minutes to change. Ed

Thanks to all of the great responses to assist on my door gas strut project. I procured the suggested Apexstone 100N strut and it looked like a perfect replacement for the one in the airplane... almost. The body of the new strut had a 6.0mm X 1.0mm threaded end that was exactly the same as the original. that end screwed precisely into the existing fixture. However, on the rod end, the new strut was 6.0mm X 1.0mm while the "original" was 5.0mm X 0.8mm (who would do that?) I considered putting a new 6mm x 1.0mm rod end on but decided that I wanted to use as much of the original hardware as possible. So, I spent some quality time with a 5.0mm x 0.8mm die and cut new threads onto the rod end. Even with a hard and sharp die, cutting into the stainless-steel rod was tedious. (In retrospect, I might have more aggressively ground more of the old thread off before turning the new threads.) In the end it all worked out and the door now opens and stays open perfectly. I am just documenting my experience as "tribal knowledge" for the forum.
