Hi All from Australia.
I recently purchased a low hours Tecnam Astore and have put around 25 hours on it in the last couple of months.
It has the standard 912 ULS engine which i would expect to operate in the 20 ish litres per hour bracket.
As it currently stands it appears to be operating at around 24 lph but this is based on dipstick fuel calcs where i have little faith in the accuracy of the dipstick.
Be interested to hear others fuel usage rates, any comments on commercially available calibrated dip sticks and any comments On accuracy of the electronic fuel read ( Garmin G3x glass).
Love the plane from a flight perspective.

What RPM do you run the engine at in cruise flight ?

I wonder if a (a pair of) FloScan transducers are compatible with the Garmin glass.
Not sure about the 912 setup but on my 914, I believe I'd need two transducers. One to count the fuel going in to the pressure regulator and a second to discount the xs fuel being returned to the tank.

Neat find and thank you, The point I was making, at least with my 914 powered aircraft, that the fuel comes out of the firewall to the fuel pressure regulator, and then any excess fuel is returned to the same selected tank via the fuel valve. On some aircraft set up, it is required to have a second transducer to subtract that returned fuel from the equation. If I could get the fuel transducer between the fuel pressure regulator and the hard lines out to the carbs, we could get by with only the one transducer. My 914 has banjo bolts and hard steel lines direct from the regulator. I suppose it could be done, but it would be an experiment.
