Santa was late this year, but ultimately he delivered. My new P2008 reached US shores on Christmas Eve, and will require at least 2-3 weeks in Sebring to get assembled, re-jigged, test flown, and ready for delivery. I will take delivery in Nashville and fly to home base in northern Michigan. Realisticlly, I anticipate possession in late January or early Feb. I want to invest the time by constructing a good checklist.
Perhaps someone would be willing to share their tried and true checklist? The engine is 912 fuel injected. No parachute. Ground adjustable prop. I think it's important to start with good habits, so I appreciate whoever might be willing to share.
Thanks, TIm

I put one together for my 912iS P2008. My airplane is "new to me" since October and I've learned a few things since then. I'm happy to share the next version (it's a living document.) PM me your contact info and I'll send you what I put together.
BTW, cool on the iS! One more in the US fleet.

Welcome. It's great to see another P2008 912iS owner on here! I'm happy to share my checklist as well. PM your contact info and I'll send it to you. In the meantime feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I have 1,400 hours on my iS (since new) it's a great engine. PS - I'm also a Rotax iRMT.

For those that are interested, I bit the bullet and dove into Garmin's ancient software to build checklists that are G3X Touch friendly. I have one minor change to make. Mine has a few 914 related items - if someone wants to look through and suggest edits to make a 912, I'd be glad to do that. When I did my instrument training, it was all Garmin G1000 checklists and I find them better/more rigor than a printed list. There's definitely something assuring about check boxes.

Here are the main lists I have for the 914 that cover startup to shutdown. If any 912 pilots would like some changes, just let me know and I can get you a fresh file. All you do is put it on a clean SD card at the root directory, and the G3X will see it upon bootup. You may need to enable checklist in the menu configuration. Similarly, if any 914 pilots see errors, I'm keen to hear those too.

Thanks for posting this, Bigmo. Mostly the same as me. A few items in different areas but still covered. A few things that I have that you don't are as follows.
1. Under Before Start I do a Seat Check to ensure that the seats are locked in place. Obviously, this check could take place under any heading prior to take off. Want to ensure my seat doesn't slide back during takeoff. 2. Before Start check to ensure Circuit Breakers are in. 3. Before taxi at an uncontrolled airport I do a Radio Check to ensure I'm communicating as expected. There are just so many adjustments and things that can go wrong between headset and radio. 4. During taxi I do a Toe Break Check. 5. During run up I do a Aux Fuel Pump Check. I do this by turning on the Aux Fuel Pump, then I pull the breaker for the primary. I do this to ensure the Aux is working as expected.
