They are not cheap as I understand it... but they are top flight gear.

I TOTALLY agree with "Cole505". They are amazing. Totally vibration free at any speed. Never have to check tire pressure as they never loose air. 12ply Michelin TUBELESS tires pre-mounted at the factory. They are so finely machined they are in perfect balance. Brakes very good and stopping requires much less pressure on the toe. An installation comes with master cylinder and all components. You cannot just 'switch wheels'. It is all or nothing. This is what comes standard on all Cirrus aircraft.
Now for the bad news. $4000 parts and labor installed by Mark Gregor's mechanics. I would not recommend getting any old FBO to do this. There are bolt size and metric / english thread issues and Gregor knows the issues and has all the right parts in hand before he starts a job. His mechanics have done this on several planes now and are experts who can finish the job in 1 day.
I am not saying it is impossible for a local FBO to do this and even do a great job, but beware, it is not trivial. I do not know where Cole505 had his done. Perhaps you can tell us Cole505, and how long did the job take?

They really are the bomb. It's a pretty noticeable difference indeed. The brakes are so much more powerful and a heck of a lot smoother. Worth it for sure y'all!!

Hi Guys,
I purchased all the parts direct from Mark Gregor ( He's the Best awesome support ) ....... I spoke in detail to his mechanics an had him email pictures of a complete install........ I am a retired Air Force F-16 mechanic...... I had a friend of mine assist start to finish an ready to fly in 6 hours...... I had a local A&P sign it off an did an Loa as well ( that was a little tuff ) the first Flt after the install was simply amazing!!!!!!!!! I thought Wow! Now this is the way this airplane is supposed to operate! Just completely SMOOOOOOOOOTH! Braking was a lot different with much less pressured needed when you apply the brakes just simply a super precise system.....Cost was $3400.00 an worth every penny! Personally I think Tecnam should sell all new Tecanms with the Beringers Installed........... It would be so worth the additional cost...... And new owners would be that much happier! πΎβοΈππ»ππΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ I hope this answers your question Rogerππ»ππΊπΈ An all of you....

I may have to give this a thought. On my trip from Florida to Washington I experienced a horrible chatter from I believe the right side. I asked the A and P who has the plane right now in Ogden to take a look at it. He has been unable to find any problems. Sounds like an inherent problem with the Tecnam supplied wheels and brakes. Disappointing to think that I bought a brand new plane and now have to spend more to make it right.

Hi Buzz,
Yes! I completely agree! I bought my P-2008 from a gentleman in Indiana he had been trying to solve the problem for two years, he put new tires brakes on an rebalanced the wheels 5 times no thing worked......... Just remember all that vibration is not doing your airframe any good........ The sooner you get the Beringers Installed the happier an safer you an your new Airplane will be...... Believe me I know it's frustrating, but at least you have the solution to your problem..... Let me know if I can assist you!

Thanks Ray. Seems to me with the past history on this issue that it should be covered by warranty.

Hi Buzz,
Since she's under warranty I would hope Tecnam would take care of this for you............. I know there must be a bunch of other owners out there that have replaced the original brakes with Beringers........ Please let me know how it go's ...... I would speak with Mark tomorrow I am sure he will be able to offer a solution for you........ I can tell you for sure that once you get the Beringer Installed it will be perfect! πΊπΈπππ»βοΈπΎ

Thanks Ray. Yes my plane only has 26 hrs on it. It sounds and feels like a bucket of bolts going down the taxiway. I had previously complained about this issue to Tecnam and they said it was possibly a warped disk. My A and P however has been unable to find a problem. I have passed on all this info you guys have on the issue to my mechanic. Hopefully I can get it fixed under warranty.
Thanks again

The 2008 I bought from Mark has Beringers on it and I'm very pleased. I ordered a set for my 2017. Plus, don't forget, they come with tubeless Michellan tires, another plus. Dan Johnson has a video on them
